As you might expect I was having an exceptionally hard day, and they made the process painless - and were incredibly accommodating. I will be back for sure.

Exceptional friendly service at Folsom Automotive Service. Thanks Sara & Carl. I purchased a used car and scheduled an appointment for some preventive maintenance to be done at FAS (Folsom Automotive Service) following the installation of a new transmission at a well reviewed / recommended transmission shop in the area. FAS quickly performed the service I originally scheduled the appointment for and checked the codes as the Check Engine light came on after shortly after leaving the transmission shop the day before. Carl, the technician at FAS found the gasket for the EGR valve sitting on top of the transmission replaced at the transmission shop. The gasket was replaced, the codes cleared, and the vehicle runs great now. FAS could have charged me for the diagnosis, a new EGR valve and labor to replace it and I'd have been none the wiser. Instead they only charged me the diagnostic fee. Sara at the service desk knows what Customer Service means. She puts the customer first and is very knowledgeable. I knew she had a good understanding of vehicle maintenance when I called to set my appointment. Upon arrival to the service center I learned she is ASE Certified, just like a mechanic but much prettier. I'm from out of state and this was my first time to Folsom Automotive Service. I have no affiliation with the shop and no reason to write a review other than to let people know they can receive excellent service from ethical professionals at Folsom Automotive Service. Of course during this shelter in place craziness they weren’t that busy. I am one of the essential employees so I figured I would patronize a small business and get my car tuned up while at work. They were great and diagnosed and solved problems I have been noticing that one of the other big name auto repair places missed. I appreciate their honesty and great communication on status of repairs and transparent pricing. I will be a customer for life!
